What Clients Say

A true hidden gem! This mom-and-pop Japanese restaurant is the real deal—no frills, just incredibly delicious, traditional dishes that are hard to find outside of Japan. We were blown away by the variety and authenticity of the menu. We tried the ankimo, vegetable and calamari tempura, gyu don, okonomiyaki, kani cream croquettes, takoyaki, and the sake ochazuke—which is an absolute must try! Every dish was thoughtfully prepared and packed with flavor. They also offer a great selection of high-quality sake and shochu, plus draft Japanese lagers to round out the experience. If you’re looking for an authentic Japanese meal that feels like you’ve been transported to a backstreet eatery in Tokyo, this is the place.

The best Japanese food I've ever had in Arizona. It is a small charming place. Didn't need any fancy presentation or hype. The service was excellent. Overall very heart warming. Just overall perfect and I will be dreaming about this place til I can stop by again.

Yes in lil ol’ Apache Junction this Ramen was authentic and delicious. Got the spicy edamame and the Las Vegas roll which was really bomb. I will come back again.

This is a nice unassuming place to get some traditional Japanese food (i.e. donburi, yakisoba, udon, ramen, curry). I was really wanting a good katsudon as my favorite place to indulge in had closed a couple years ago. This place came up on a Google search and the reviews were promising. The place is small and not at all flashy. It had the hint of an unpleasant aroma but it stopped being noticeable a few minutes in (whether that's good or bad). Not many seats and we had to wait 30 minutes-ish to sit and order. We didn't mind since we planned a wait. The service was very nice but not very attentive. We didn't get a refill on water or soda the whole time. But the servers were few and they were keeping busy getting food out so we took no offense. We ordered vegetable tempura, takoyaki, katsudon and karrage don. Everything was delicious. Loved the takoyaki. The katsudon was a bit smaller and a little pricier than my previous go to but it still hit the spot. While the karrage don was not my sort of thing my wife enjoyed it. The meal wasn't life changing but it was a great way to get some not so easy to find traditional Japanese dishes. Prices were on par with other places. The quality was good and the atmosphere was neutral. I wouldn't hesitate to return if I was in the mood for Japanese food and I would love to try the curry.

Always an amazing experience here. The staff is absolutely great and welcoming. The food is amazing and the selections of sake is always changing for a wider selection. Limited seats so you have to beat the rush and if anything its always worth the wait. My favorite place for Japanese 💯💜

Edit 03/02/2024 : The portion sizes are definitely not this size anymore, and the prices have increased to me not seeing it as a feasible dinner location. I didnt want to change my review, because I want to see this business thriving, however I feel that this is misleading and this place lost a few previous employees that made it a special experience for every customer, past portion sizes-price ratio felt as if you are paying what you are getting, the fish is cut smaller, the ramen has fewer toppings and one very thin slice of chasu. This place will always hold a special place in my heart but I do not find myself wanting to return after each visit and find more for my money elsewhere. Previous 5 star review: This review is long overdue, I've been coming here since 2019 and I've always had an amazing time. The food is just as lovely as all the people there. The sushi has been fresh and the best fish I've had in arizona. I do get more than just sushi, everything I've had off the menu has been amazing and I am still trying new things.
